Ferries From Athens to the Greek Islands and back operate daily.

Depending on the vessel and the route you have the option of a Fast or a Normal Boat.

Piraeus and Rafina are the main ports that serve ferries to and from Athens.

During the summer, there are also some ferries from Rafina Port which are closer to some Cycladic Islands and the airport.

These ports connect to most Greek islands, such as Mykonos, Tinos and Andros.

The Dodecanese Islands are reachable only from Piraeus Port, which is the main port of Athens.

The Ionian Islands are reachable from  Ag. Konstantinos Port, Mantoudi Port and Volos Port.

You can reach the Island of Crete (Heraklion or Chania Ports) only from Piraeus Port.

There are many boat connections among the Greek Islands, especially during high season, which allow you to connect to a variety of islands and destinations.

Booking your tickets in advance is advisable since demand (especially for cabins) is high during the summer.
